Kincade Stadium - The Kimball Knights (6-2) held district rivals - the Carter Cowboys (4-3) to just six points in a dominating 24-6 victory Saturday evening.

Not much went well offensively for Carter Saturday, as the first half was complete with empty possession after empty possession, a turnover deep in their own territory and a rushing game that simply could not get going. The Knights began the scoring effort in the first quarter and would never look back. Kimball put 10 points on the board fairly easily in the first half of play. To add insult to injury, Kimball would also recover an onside kick attempt against Carter.

The Cowboys finally found the end zone with just over three minutes remaining in the first half, but couldn’t convert the extra point. The halftime score of 10-6 would reflect Carter’s total scoring for the evening. Despite a quarterback change in the second half and an aggressive defense - the Cowboys just could not move the ball on offense.

The competition doesn’t get any easier next week for Carter, as they will face a tough Wilmer-Hutchins (5-2) team. Kimball, now winners of four consecutive games - will face North Dallas (2-5) next Friday.
