Life Coach Finds Purpose in Helping Others
To walk away from a high-paying corporate executive role and into the realm of “helping people” with no promise of certain compensation is no easy transition. For Lisa Ratcliff, however, it was a calling.
She dialed in a favor with God, and he answered with L’evate Living – a portal to empowerment. She now thrives as a business consultant, as a motivational speaker and as a Transformational Life Coach.
“What really made me say ‘yes’ to this new journey was the voice of God. It was so loud and so consistent in telling me that it was time,” Ratcliff says. “Two weeks before I resigned – I received my “yes” to L’evate Living and my “no” to continuing in the corporate world.”

For more than 25 years, the “little boss” as those around her affectionately reference her – served in leadership roles in residential leasing. She made difficult decisions, she implemented strategies, she sat at the head of boardroom tables, she traveled away from home and away from her family week after week. The woman who inches just beyond five feet tall in her highest heels commanded some of the toughest rooms for over two decades. She was effective, but she was unfulfilled.
Today, Ratcliff spends her days encouraging women to say YES to themselves. L’evate Living, still in its early stages has afforded her opportunities to speak boldly and encourage strangers to the point of life-altering tears. Her children are now adults, and her husband supports her pursuit of purpose.
While her daily efforts to inspire and motivate women to reach their fullest potential supports Ratcliff’s title as a transformational life coach, what she does for her growing community far surpasses the classic role of a coach.
Building relationships is a priority for Ratcliff and ensuring that everyone in the room feels “seen” comes second nature for her.
“I believe God gives everyone a gift,” Ratcliff explains. “My design and hardwiring combine to connect people; to give voice to the voiceless and to be a cheerleader for people who don’t know how to cheer for themselves. I want to always remind women of their own value.”
